Roles of Chairperson
The role of the chairperson is to :
1. Carry out duties as directed by NZICA Executive Committee, with the help of members of the sub-committee.
2. Arrange meetings of the sub-committee as and when required.
3. Prepare an Annual Report on behalf of the sub-committee.
4. Attend NZICA Executive Committee meetings when required.
 
Background
The Health and Welfare Sub-committee is a sub-committee of the New Zealand Indian Central Association Inc. The sub-committee was formed to address issues relating to the health and welfare of member associations.
The members of the sub-committee are appointed at the AGM of NZICA each year. The sub-committee has been in existence for a number of years, under the chairmanship of various chairpersons.
 
Role of the Sub-committee
The general duties of the sub-committee are :
1. Maintain communication with Branch Associations on matters relating to Health and Welfare.
2. Address matters raised by members of Branch Associations.
3. Address issues relating to New Zealand and overseas pensions.
4. To encourage member Branch Associations to organise talks, outings and activities to enhance the health and welfare of their members.
5. Prepare submissions as directed by NZICA Executive Committee.
