Background
The Wider Representative Sub-committee is a sub-committee of the New Zealand Indian Central Association Inc. The sub-committee was formed to address issues relating to issues like exploring and affiliating small groups who have the same objects as of NZICA. The members of the sub-committee are appointed at the AGM of NZICA each year. The sub-committee has been in existence for a number of years, under the chairmanship of various chairpersons.
 
Objectives
* To make other groups with the same objectives become affiliated members of NZICA.
* To liaise with existing neighboring affiliated branch.
* To prepare submissions as directed by the NZICA Executive committee.
 
Roles of Chairperson:
* To find out which small groups in New Zealand have the same objectives as NZICA.
* Each member of the committee is to advise the contact details of which groups are operating in their area, and their contact details.
* Each branch is to advise which groups are operating in their area, and their contact details.
* NZICA is to approve that the Wider Representative Committee approach these groups.
* The Wider Representation Committee is to approach these groups.
* The Wider Representation Committee is to report to NZICA Executive members for approval of the group and forward to AGM to approve or reject the application.
* If approved, the group is to be advised by the Wider Representative Committee.
* The charity becomes an affiliated branch of the NZICA.
